I’m a Boston-based photographer specializing in concert, travel, and event photography. I love capturing the energy of live performances, the beauty of the world, and the diversity of my communities.

I started photographing concerts in the late 1980s, when my friends and I were spending weekends going to shows all over the tri-state area. Many of them were in bands, and as a kid taking photography classes, I began shooting their performances. That early passion for music and photography grew into a lifelong love — more than 35 years later, I rarely go to a concert without my camera.

After coming out, I began photographing LGBTQ+ events across the country — from Carnival in Provincetown and Pride in New York City to the Folsom Street Fair and the Marches on Washington. I felt a deep need to document my friends and my community, capturing the joy, creativity, and resilience that define these spaces.

As I started traveling more, I developed a love for capturing the world’s beauty through my lens. From Rome to the Galápagos, San Francisco to Montreal, Amsterdam to London, my camera rarely leaves my side. Recent adventures include Iceland, Portugal, Costa Rica, and Austria.

In 2013, a friend invited me to Burning Man, and I’ve returned nearly every year since. The art there is otherworldly, and I love capturing the magic of these incredible installations glowing in the Black Rock Desert at night.

My most published work is my concert photography. I’ve contributed images to books, magazines, albums, and merchandise, and I maintain an extensive catalog spanning thousands of bands — from Boston to Louisville, from local punk shows to major arena tours.
